ACCOR And GCP's Thailand Franchise Alliance

Category: Hotels, Posted:16 Apr 2012 | 06:00 am

Global hotel operator ACCOR and Hong Kong private equity group Gaw Capital Partners(GCP) have created a franchise arrangement for two new Thailand based properties under the brand Hotel G.
Both the Pullman Bangkok Hotel G and Pulllman Pattaya Hotel G will roll out this month. GCP already operate the Hotel G in Beijing.
Concepts being imported into Bangkok will include the Scarlett Wine Bar Restaurant which first was created in Beijing and a new Bordello meets burger bar called 25 Degrees. The later comes from the group's trendy Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel in the US. Former Sofitel executive Guy Poujoulat has been recruited to the post of Director of Operations for Thailand.
The franchise deal is through ACCOR's Pullman brand and will be operated by GCP Hospitality. Christophe Vielle is Managing Director of the group's hospitality operation.
GCP last year brought the Sofitel Silom Hotel from a fund under LaSalle Investment Management.
With 14 properties under ownership expansion plans call for a Residence G in Hong Kong and mainland China this year.
In Phuket GCP and its affiliates are developing a Park Hyatt in Koh Siray.
