AirAsia Acquiring Philippine Carrier

I'm in Manila today at the Philippines Investment Forum. Over 7o0 multinational and domestic companies are represented.
A highlight was the country's President Benigno Aquino III who kicked off the conference.
Making headlines here is AirAsia's announced acquisition of a 49% holding in domestic low-cost carrier Zest Airways.
Zest has 11 aircraft and is a strategic move for AirAsia in greater service to Cebu, Kalibo (Boracay's primary gateway) and Manila.
