AirAsia To Fly Phuket Penang Route

Airlift into Phuket is set to rise on news that AirAsia will start flying from the island to Penang, direct.

Daily flights start from the beginning of July.

Currently Firefly services the route between the two destinations, four times a week, using an ATR-72 aircraft.

One of the great tourism mysteries is the lack of direct flights between Phuket and nearby Langkawi, despite the relative nearness of the Malaysian resort destination.
