AirAsia Kills Off Japan JV

The much-touted Japanese venture between AirAsia and ANA (All Nippon Airways) looks to wind up the bin.
Call it a failure to communicate or else a non -alignment of interests, but in plane talk the marriage is over.
While the market had been viewing the low-cost potential of Japan with envy, ultimately the JV will be a write off at what the financial press is estimating at USD36 million.
