AirAsia Starting Direct Phuket Siem Reap Flights

Thai AirAsia is launching flights between Phuket and Siem Reap in Cambodia.
Service is set to commence daily on November 7th of this year.
From a scheduling perspective the flight times are convenient, with a departure from Phuket at 6:20 in the morning, and arriving in Siem Reap at 7:40 am.
On the return leg, they leave Siem Reap at 8:40 am and arrive Phuket by 10:05 am.
In the past Thai AirAsia has flown to such destinations as Bali. Ho Chi Minh City, and Medan from Phuket.
One route that surprises me, that has not come into service in to nearby Langkawi?
Despite the relatively short distance between the two islands, and common sectors such as yachting, and tourism, it remains a chore to fly easily between them.
