AoT May Take Over Krabi Airport

One of Greater Phuket's international gateways, Krabi may see a change in airport operator.
Currently Krabi Airport is being run by the Department of Civil Aviation (DCA), whereas most of the country's largest airports including Phuket and Bangkok are operated by AoT (Airports of Thailand.
Local news outlets have covered the issue and recent updates indicate a change may be coming soon.
For Krabi the move would see a further shift toward more mainstream transportation infrastructure, which is viewed by most observers as a strong positive.
