Top Asian Hotels Brands Named

Category: Hotels, Posted:23 Apr 2012 | 06:00 am

Asia's leading hotel chains have been named in the Brand Company's first Asian Hospitality Brand Survey.
Topping the chart was Shangri-La, Peninsula and Mandarin Oriental which comes as no surprise.
But moving down the list newer entries such as Banyan Tree and Langham.
Others in the top slots included Aman, Raffles and Marco Polo.
For Thailand, Centara, Dusit Aleenta, Ananarta, U Hotels & Resort and Six Senses were put ot the Top 30.
A key point which the Brand Company's James Stuart made was that out of the Top list, only one China based chain made the list – Jin Jiang Hotels.
In the growing era of Asia-centric development, this comes as both a surprise and an opportunity for the regional powerhouse.
Stuart adds that he believes the new big hotel brand will come from China and what he terms a Navigator Brand i.e. one that does not rigidly fix themselves on a single compass point, but must navigate their way through shifting sands and changing currents.
