Bali Airport Expansion Targets 100% Passenger Growth

Work underway at Bali's Ngurah Rai International Airport is fast paced given a deadline for the November 2013 APEC mega event.
According to the news site Balidiscovery.com the existing stated capacity of 12 million was already exceeded last year with an additional 700,000 travelers passing through the facility
Once completed the airport authority say capacity will increase to 25 million, or over 100% of the current number.
Air travel in Asia continues to be multiplying as a result of low-cost carriers and a sharp rise in the regional middle class.
