Bali Gets India Direct. What About Phuket?

AirAsia X Indonesia has started flights between Bali and Mumbai, India.

Daily flights are scheduled using an Airbus A330-300.

Indian arrivals to Bali grew year-on-year by nearly 30% in the first quarter of 2017 according to data on BaliDiscovery.com.

India is expected to become the third larger overseas segment by year -end to Bali.

Meanwhile while Phuket continues to see considerably growth in Indian inbound tourism, travelers are forced to transit in Bangkok which is capping numbers.

For now, there are is not direct service between India and Phuket which on paper holds enormous potential given the favorable door to door travel time.
