Bali Matching Phuket In Tourism Gains
Overseas tourism numbers to Bali have registered strong demand in the first half of 2016.
According to data published by Bali Discovery, gains for the big two foreign markets of Australia and China has been strong year-on-year growth.
Australia continues to top the chart with just over a 10% increases compared to the same period last year, while China has pushed up by more then 36%.
It will not be too long until China will become Bali’s biggest international market.
Other strong growth to Bali has been seen from the U.K, France, Germany, Sweden, Spain, India and the US. Russia is also slowly recovering momentum.
Declines have seen registered mainly in the regional markets of Singapore, Malaysia and South Korea.
Sitting on the ground in Bali this week, traffic is again becoming an issue and the influx of new hotels means average room rates continue to be disrupted by a demand supply imbalance.
Year-end international arrivals to Bali are expected to be in the region of 4.7 million.
