BALI What A Difference A Day Makes

Category: Hotels, Posted:28 Jul 2012 | 06:00 am

In the changing world of travel which was turned upside down after the financial crisis, one of the most dramatic trends has been shorter tourism stays in Asia.
Dare we say tourist now love Asia short time instead of long time.
What's behind the shifting sands is actually the rise of Asian travelers.
One case in point is Bali where Balidiscovery.com has quoted the Indonesian Statistic Bureau that the average length of stay for foreigners is approximately 4 days, compared to the domestic market with 3 days.
It doesn't seem like much but the compound effect on the total market remains significant.
As we've seen in Phuket while arrivals are soaring, new supply and the changing guest profile is sucking up the numbers.
What's prolific in the Bali numbers is as you work down the chain scale from top to bottom the term of stays erodes in both the foreign and domestic segments.
Interesting numbers indeed.
