BIG BANG Mount Agung Closes Bali Airport Again

Category: Hotels, Posted:29 Jun 2018 | 11:59 am

A volcanic eruption of Bali’s Mount Agung has seen the island’s Ngurah Rai Airport close due to ash.

While the distance from the volcano to the tourism areas in South Bali is quite distant, the flight cancellations are piling up.

Bali is about to go into high season, with the Australian school holidays looming and the timing is not the greatest.

Sadly, there is likely to be some displacement of business for the Island of the Gods, and not unlike the recent Boracay debacle, a redirect  of tourists in the short term.
