BoHo Bali, What's New Pusseycat
Raindrops keep coming falling faster than coconuts here in Phuket. Want to get off the rock and get a new vibe? Try a quick trip to Bali.
Lots of new things in Asia's other resort island to check out. My last trip was a frantic rush just to take it all in.
Topping the list is the boho chic new Luna2 Studios in Seminyak. Designer Melanie Hall has brought an innovative and unique touch of retro chic to a great boutique property. It's not like anywhere you've stayed before. Luna2 is also on the horizon for Niseko next and in the future Phuket. Remember the name.
Over on the east coast in Keramas just up from Sanur is the Komune Surf Resort and Beach Club. It's not pretentious but a very targeted offering for surfers or those who just want a bit of space. This is Komune's second property with the first one on the Gold Coast.
Back in Seminyak, Thai hotel group U have just opened their doors of the U Paasha property, which is smart, well located in the middle of the restaurant, shopping and drinking area. It's fresh and has an urban feel to it.
If you want an affordable option near Nusa Dua, Mantra has opened their first Indonesian property and it's a very affordable midscale property near to the destination Nusa Dua area.
Eating and drinking remain key pursuits in Bali, top pick from this trip is the newly opened La Finca in Canggu. Casual authentic tapas in great surroundings.
Anyway this is just a small taste of what's in store. I love life in Phuket, but Bali makes a great escape place for a different vibe.
