GHM Discontinue Management of Chedi Resort

Category: Hotels, Posted:09 Sep 2009 | 18:49 pm

A shake up in management has occurred at one of Phuket's longest serving upscale hotels The Chedi. Management company General Hotel Management (GHM) have announced they have reached a mutual agreement with the owning company to terminate services and branding. Use of the “Chedi” name will continue for one year.
GHM continues to manage luxury resorts such as The Setai in South Beach Miami and Nam Hai in Vietnam. The brand currently has a contract for The Yamu, which recently announced restarting construction and is slated to open by the end of next year.
Many industry observers consider the Surin property in need of a large-scale significant renovation and upgrade hence the developments on this project come as no surprise.
