Good Morning Martial Law

Thailand's army has imposed martial law on the country this morning.
Talk about waking up in the wrong side of the bed.
While the Royal Thai Army has insisted there is no military coup, the action is meant to address increasing violence in the political stalemate which has continued for month.
The proclamation covers all of Thailand including Phuket.
For the country's battered and bruise tourism sector the development is a strong negative especially for the lucrative MICE market.
Whether this is the beginning of the end or the end of the beginning this new shift looks to have profound amplification of Thailand's challenges across the globe.
