Trips to Singapore just seem to be getting more and more expensive, especially those of us coming from value priced Thailand.
A few years ago the ibis Bencoolen became a favored business retreat of mine which was recently supplemented by the Holiday Inn Express just off Orchard Road,
More good news is the Holiday Inn Express off Clark Quay is now open and presents a great option for great accommodation and reasonable prices.
I was in Jakarta last week and also say the new HIEX there has recently opened their doors.
