Google Killer Facebook Launching Email

Facebook is set to announce a new email application tomorrow for its 500 million plus user base which has Google's Gmail, Microsoft's Hotmail and Yahoo Mail in their gun sights.
Many tech watchers, soothsayers and industry insiders are saying the near term future of the internet will be social networking sites that could see email as we know it move into an early obsolesce.
For those who remember Netscape Navigator, Lotus, Word Perfect, or of course the Sony Betamax the future can indeed be rife with here to zero stories.
For now more than a few people I know don't even bother using email to trade messages these days but it's more a matter of that phase “Facebook me.”
