Competing Asian resort destination Bali has formed a Green Team back of its hotel association.
The Bali Hotels Association (BHA) initiative meets monthly and provides a forum for joint initiatives, networking and strategic projects.
For 2011 a deliverable project called "Say Yes to Disposable Plastic" is looking at tracking consumption of member hotels and ways to lower impact.
Another focus is working with green suppliers and other sustainable external organizations.
Tourism continues to have a high impact on the environment and the BHA are viewing green thinking with growing importance.
