High Profile Designer Hotel The Yamu Going Ahead

Category: Hotels, Posted:21 Apr 2009 | 09:12 am

Ian Henry of developer Campbell Kane has told thephuketinsider.com that "with the change in primary contactor for the project K-Tech, this has caused a substantial delay in getting the hotel completed. Currently structural works are finished and we have taken the opportunity to tweak the hotel villas design to become more harmonious with that of the luxury villas at The Cape development. Now that this is done we'd expect to restart construction soon with a new contractor and the opening timeline will most likely be 2010."

The Yamu is a dream team collaboration between international star designers Philippe Starck and Jean Michel Gathy; and will be managed by global chain GHM who operate well known properties such as The Setai in Miami's South Beach area and The Legian in Bali.
