Hong Kong Drives Cruise Initiative

Category: Tourism, Posted:04 Apr 2013 | 06:00 am

With tourism booming in the region the cruise sector is looking to gear up.
Hong Kong's new USD1 billon Kai Tak terminal is a lead indicator of things to come.

Indonesia is targeting development of the sector but the planned Turtle Island project has yet to be realized, as does a stalled mega port in Lombok.
While hotels remain a booming business, the cruise sector should and will take off in the longer term.
