Hotel Owner Turns Food Magnate

One well-known hotel owner in Thailand Prab Thakral is taking on the food service industry.
Thakral's hotel portfolio which includes branded offerings by Oakwood, Citadines and others has tied up with Japan's Toridoll Corporation in a joint venture firm Nodu Foods.
The venture has seen the growth of the branded Marugame Seimen udon styled restaurants with plans to grow to 30 outlets by next year.
Locally, Boutique Asset Management which is Thakral's hospitality vehicle is developing an internationally branded midscale hotel in Patong.
