A next-gen phase of country specific travel websites is coming down the lane.
These are aimed at a legion of growing domestic markets such as Indonesia and China.
According to Indonesia's Tourism Ministry last year the country had 125 million tourists and 239 million trips.
The Jakarta Post recently highlighted the site www.rajakamar.com, which is a consortium of major tour companies and investors.
Content is in Bahasa Indonesia and there is on the ground on call support staff.
China is seeing a similar pattern of up and coming sites in Chinese.
While the world remains a village a growing number of travelers prefer to go local.
