HOTELS MAGAZINE Social Media Awards

Leading industry publication Hotels Magazine has launched a new Social Hotels Awards event.
According to the publication the following details set out the criteria and categories –
"To recognize both brands and individual properties for their leadership and innovation in connecting with consumers online via social media, HOTELS Magazine announces its inaugural Social Hotel Awards.
Winners will be named for both brands and individual hotels in each of the 10 categories, and will receive a custom trophy as well as a digital badge for online display. HOTELS will publish features about the winners – both in an exclusive online series and in a major print story, as well as list the finalists in each category.
Free entry forms in the following categories and must be submitted by June 7:
Best Facebook page
Best Twitter account
Best use of Foursquare
Best use of digital video
Best use of emerging social media platforms (Pinterest, Google+, etc.)
Best Facebook sweepstakes, contest, promotion
Best reputation management (including TripAdvisor)
Best blog
Best Facebook ad campaign
Best integrated digital campaign (across social platforms, websites and/or apps)
Submissions consider for work must have been completed between Jan. 1, 2011 and April 1, 2012. All entries must include samples of content and brief descriptions of the goals and situation analysis for a particular campaign or category, the strategy and tactics the hotel or brand used, and a description of the results. Entries can include up to two photos as well as links to pages, hosted video, or monitoring reports that demonstrate why the campaign is a success.
An esteemed panel of judges, including representatives from Google and Digital Royalty, will evaluate each entry based on the extent to which it met results or exceeded goals; creativity of execution; quality of work on the social media platform; clarity of the submitted entry in summarizing the program; and how well the online voice and presence of the campaign matches that of the brand or property.
Again, entries are free, must be submitted by June 7, and we encourage readers to submit entries in multiple categories.
