In the latest news the chain has signed a deal for a conversion of the 91-key Shiki, which will be rebranded as the Hyatt House Niseko in mid-December.

The property is owned by LimeTree Capital through a Japanese affiliate.

For those not familiar with the Hyatt House name, it’s focus is on the extended stay segment, and actually the moniker debuted in 1957 as the first of many Hyatt brands to follow.

As far as location, the hotel sits in a prime site in the middle of the trendy Hirafu area.

A second chain operated property is underdevelopment nearby, which is the luxury Park Hyatt Niseko Hanazono that will open in 2019.
