IATA Predicts 16 Billion Passengers

According to a forecast by the International Air Transport Association (IATA) in the span of the new 40 years, air travelers will grow to 16 billion.
Based on trending and a prediction of 2.8 billion passengers this year, technology and developing economies in Asia will drive the new numbers.
According to a recent PATA research document low cost carrier are continuing to change the way the region travel.
Over the past year budget airline AirAsia added 1.2 million visitors to its website, demonstrating increasing demand in the segment.
