Southeast Asia's largest economy Indonesia continues to skyrocket. A lead indicator is a recent forecast by the Indonesia Air Carriers Association that a 52% increase in travel volume will be achieved by 2015.
According to the Association, in 2011 there were over 60 million total passengers and this figure is expected to grow up to 100 million over the next three years.
Increasing number of aircraft by carriers such as Lion, AirAsia and Garuda will aid on the supply side along with the return of Mandala Airlines.
The AEC (ASEAN Economic Community) "open skies policy" is being hailed as a key driver of demand throughout the region.
