InterContinental's Crowne Plaza Opening On Phuket's East Coast

InterContinental Hotels Group has entered into a management agreement for a newly completed 228 room beachfront upscale property in Phuket.
According to IHG's website the Crowne Plaza Resort Phuket Panwa Beach will be open in the second quarter of this year.
Located on Makham Bay the property was once slated to be a Four Points by Sheraton under the Starwood chain.
It's understood a number of leading hotel management companies had been vying for the contract in the lucrative Phuket market.
