International Health Complex For Mai Khao

A plan for a THB3 billion International Health Plaza in Mai Khao near Tha Chatchai Police Station  at the Northern end of the island has been made public.

The proposal is being-led by the administration of Phuket’s Vichira Hospital.

Located on a 141-rai site that is administered by Thailand’s Treasury Department, the area was formerly earmarked for a large-scale convention center by the government.

A budget request has been put forward to the Ministry of Public Health with proposed development planned for Phase 1 in 2021 and Phase 2 commencing 2022.

Facilities in the plan call for premium long-term care for the elderly, hospice center for terminally-ill patients, a comprehensive rehabilitation center and international clinics.
