As Thailand comes into the Songkran and summer holidays a massive outbound redirect is taking place.
Japan – which has been plagues by a recent tsunami and radiation leaks looks to be affected by negative sentiment in its tourism market.
The country is one of the most popular destinations for Thais, but has now seen widespread cancellations over travel fears.
Speaking to agents it seems Europe looks to be a key beneficiary as locals are powered by the appreciation of the Thai baht and increasing airlinks make the continent an attractive alternative.
