According to news from the Department of Civil Aviation (DCA) the Krabi International Airport will shift to 24 hour operations in October of this year.
The shift is set to accommodate passenger traffic coming into high tourist season.
Currently passenger traffic is at the 1 million level, and capacity stands close to three million.
There are plans for a new third terminal which will raise capacity to five million.
Unlike Phuket which falls under the AoT (Airports of Thailand), Krabi is operated by DCA.
