Krabi Gets Cold Shoulder From Government

Despite the scale of its tourism attractions and critical mass of quality international accommodation Krabi has found itself all but forgotten by the government.
The recent visit to Phuket by the Cabinet which saw Phuket win majority of the projects had Krabi trailing its Andaman neighbors Ranong, and Trang with only a single approval.
This came in the form of a THB99.3million coordination center for natural disasters.
For tourism dependent Koh Lanta which is in Krabi province the much-needed access via a series of bridges was overlooked. As for the remainder of one of Thailand's greatest natural attractions it looks like a case of 'out of sight, out of mind.'
