Laguna Phuket's Allamanda Brands to Best Western Chain

thephuketinsider.com has learned that hotel chain Best Western has been signed to manage the Allamanda phase 2 and 3 condo hotel. Rebranded the Best Western Laguna Phuket Resort a relaunch will be in place by October. With 120 keys in their rental pool the property will complement a number of other flagged Best Western hotels on the island including Bangtao, Pa Klok, Karon and a new hotel coming up in Patong.
It's understood that Phase 1 of Allamanda will not operate as a hotel going forward with CBRE already assuming estate management but may be looking at offering serviced apartment units. Laguna now has two new brands entering the destination resort along with US based Outrigger who will be opening by the end of 2009. Other chain operated hotels in the development include those by Banyan Tree, Sheraton and Dusit.
