Laos Airport Upgrading

An upgrade to Pakse's airport in nearby Laos is being funded by the Thai government.
Improvements will include work to parking bays, lengthening of the runway and an upgrade of the control tower.
One of the caveats of the project is that Thai-listed development firm Italian-Thai (Italthai) will be carrying out the works.
In 2010 an expansion was completed to accommodate single body Airbus and Boeing aircraft
