Lombok To Become Another AirAsia Hub

Bali’s tourism neighbor Lombok is set to be designed as a new hub for low-cost airline AirAsia.

While the airline has made plans public, behind the scenes the Indonesian government is set to subsidize new international flights to stimulate demand.

Lombok is still recovering from damage to its tourism sector after last year’s earthquake.

AirAsia will base aircraft in Lombok and increase flights to Australia, Malaysia and nearby Bali.
