New Cruise Ship Ports For Southern Thailand

A media report in the Bangkok Post that two new cruise liner facilities will be developed in Southern Thailand.
The Deputy Transport Minister Arkhom Termpittayapaisith has gone on record saying that Krabi and Surat Thani will play host to the ports.
Thailand's government has recognized the potential for the cruise industry and intends to develop broader destinations for handling tourists.
Phuket currently has a limited facility which continues to face frequent issues with local transportation factions.
