New Golf Destination North Of Phuket Next Year

One of Thailand’s most exciting new golfing destinations Aquella Golf and Country Club is looking to launch in mid-2021.

Located in Thai Muang, Phang Nga just 30 minutes from Phuket International Airport, the new four-lane highway North and into Khao Lak has created easy access to dual hotel markets.

Part of an integrated resort, Aquella has ten kilometers of beach frontage with the golf course commanding a portion of it.

A recent visit to the course showcased near completion of the course and facilities highlighted by a clubhouse, driving range, and even a mini-golf area for kids.

Membership sales are expected to start after the first quarter next year and residential villas are already for sale, with a model unit up and sold properties under construction.

Managing the golf is Absolute Golf Services who also manage other courses in Thailand and are expanding in the region.

Phang Nga is increasing their sports tourism focus with other notable courses being Katathong Golf Resort and Spa in the East and at the North, Kirinara in Takua Pa.

With nearly 10,000 hotel keys in Khao Lak, golf is expected to be a growing demand generator for tourism.
