NEWS ALERT Centara Takes Over Best Western Patong

In a rapid move of branding fortunes the Thai group Centara has taken over operations of the former 148 room Best Western Sawaddi Resort in Patong. A special introductory rate has been launched with rooms at THB 1,200 ++.
The resort opened last December with a franchise to the Best Western group and marketing though Astudo. The later company was merged into Centara a few months ago as part of the X2 deal which was aimed to grow the groups management business.
On the island this is the second Best Western group flag change with the other being what is now the Supalai Resort and Spa in Ao Po which was under the Premier label.
