Novotel Rethinks The Hotel Room

French chain ACCOR rolled out a new prototype for their midscale Novotel brand late last year.
In what the group calls "room 3120" the features includes a sizable flatscreen high-definition television, 360 Xbox gaming console and digital sensor for connection of the devices.
Both Microsoft and design firm Naco were enlisted in the creative process for both technology and room layout.
Over the past decade the most important shift in guest behavior as been a rush to plug and play versus simply switching on the television.
