Outrigger To Manage Phi Phi Resort
Hawaiian chain Outrigger have entered into an agreement to manage the upscale Phi Phi island Village Beach Resort and Spa.
From November 1st of this year the resort will come under Outrigger's sales and marketing network and from the beginning of next November the 112 villas will be fully managed.
During the interim basis 38 new villas will be built which will increase the total inventory to 150 units. Also a THB50 million upgrading program will be undertaken.
The new name at that time will be Outrigger Phi Phi Island Resort.
With this addition the group now operates three resorts in Thailand with the other two in Phuket and Koh Samui.
A growing footprint for Outrigger has seen a successful property in Bali and pipeline that includes Vietnam and China's Hainan Island.
Recently the brand was in the news with the transaction of management rights for the Holiday Inn Surfers Paradise in Australia.
