Outrigger Purchases Samui Resort

Outrigger Resort and Hotels has transacted the 52 key AKARYN Resort in Choengmon Samui.
The move marks the return of the group, after a prior management contact on the island.
Rory Campbell has been appointed as General Manager.
A rebranding will take place for the property that was once the Atlantis Resort.
An ensuring upgrade was undertaken by AKARYN, who leased the property and repositioned it.
AHMS who vended the resort will uses the proceeds to fund expansion of their new offerings in other parts of Thailand and an upcoming resort in Cambodia.
Their portfolio includes the Aleenta Phang Nga Resort.
Outrigger has publically expressed their brand expansion to be on a ownership versus management contract basis and is targeting oceanfront properties.
