Category: Hotels, Posted:15 Feb 2010 | 06:00 am

Growing legal and tax professional firm DFDL Mekong have merged with Thailand's McEvily & Collins, which will be integrated into the former brand name. Existing M & C offices in Phuket and Samui will now be renamed and the Bangkok offices of the two merged.
DFDL currently operates in Thailand, Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia and Myanmar has been on an expansion drive after an alliance with Koh Samui's legal advisors Crawshaws in 2008. Both Matthew McEvily and Marcus Collins who are well known on the islands property scene will be joining the new venture.
With a flattening of foreign property transactions over the past few years a consolidation in the affiliated real estate sector appears to be a strategic opportunity for a number of companies looking to develop a wider stretch and critical mass.
