Phuket Learning Event for Women in Hospitality Next Saturday
COVID-19 has had a dramatic impact not only on the global hospitality industry but throughout Thailand as well. There is no more profound challenge facing the sector than human resources.
One of the key storylines of retaining people in the industry and attracting new talent is gender equality. Over 90% of General Managers in Thailand are men. Equal opportunity and empowerment need to be a fundamental part of the tourism recovery road map.
A special ‘in person’ learning event called Mind the Gap has been organized by the Phuket Hotels Association and C9 Hotelworks, with support from Delivering Asia Communications and Dusit Hotels & Resorts.
The half-day event is set for Saturday afternoon 18th June 2022 at the Dusit Thani Laguna Phuket. Mind the Gap is not just a women’s dialogue but one that includes anyone in the hospitality business, travel and tourism, and hotels.
With an impressive set of speakers, this is a chance to listen to the actual stories and learnings from professional women in the industry along with those just starting their careers. It will also be an opportunity to learn about a new gender equality initiative of the Phuket Hotels Association in mentorship and support.
