Phuket Swimming Pool Incident Goes Global

In the age of digital media, you cough in one room and the next room over catches pneumonia.
While last weeks chlorine leak at the Phuket Orchid Resort in Karon suddenly become a global affair.
I was watching the news overseas on Channel News Asia and the next thing I knew the island was being showcased with that was a full-blown catastrophe.
Returning back to Phuket I found that while guests had gone to hospital there were no lives lost and all in all was hardy worth the overseas attention the incident drew.
Of course now we have the best and worst dressed from the Academy Awards so on to the next big media bash.
