Phuket International Hospitality Show Slated September 24-26

Category: Tourism, Posted:17 Jun 2009 | 07:07 am

Speaking to Jennifer Drew from Informa who is organizing the upcoming Phuket International Hospitality Show from September 24-26 at Royal Phuket Marina she commented that interest is strong both from local hotels, restaurants and also further afield in suppliers from Bangkok and Singapore. Currently the region has a number of focused supplier shows like HOFEX in Hong Kong and others in the Asian region, but given the size of the hospitality industry in Phuket that a show here was in demand.
Interestingly enough there are participants coming from Greater Phuket as in Krabi, Khao Lak, Koh Lanta, Phi Phi and even Surat Thani. A series of lectures and seminars are on the agenda as well targeting relevant hotel, and restaurant topics. In the absence of a large convention center the use of the Royal Phuket Marina facility gained prominence last year during the PIMEX Boat Show which has shown a steady rise in attendance in the last few years.
