Phuket's Private Jet Terminal On Horizon

Category: Tourism, Posted:31 Jan 2011 | 06:00 am

The government functioning body AoT (Airports of Thailand) is anticipated to bid out rights for a build and operate private jet terminal in Phuket within this year.
It's been reported in the Bangkok Post that two locations opposite the existing passenger terminal are under consideration. A budget of approximately THB200 million has been indicated.
At Bangkok's Don Mueang airport Bill Heinecke's Mjets won a five year contract. The facility is currently handling 45 flights a month.
While Phuket International Airport already services a number of private aircraft within existing operations a new dedicated terminal could stimulate demand further.
