Phuket’s Sandbox Now Open To All Countries
Making news headlines the Phuket Sandbox, is now open to all countries for entry as of 1st October for fully vaccinated travelers.
The 14-day requirement to stay in Phuket and certain approved areas of nearby provinces (Phang Nga, Krabi, and Surat Thani) has been shortened to 7 days.

As of yesterday, Phuket hotels, restaurants, and bars are now again allowed to serve alcohol.
Given the loosening of restrictions for travel between Phuket and Bangkok, along with rising airlift, it’s expected island hotels will see a rise in domestic demand. Within October the Thai Government is also set to bring back the domestic travel stimulus program – We Travel Together.
With flights moving again, Thai Air Asia has announced the resumption of Phuket – Chiang Mai direct flights in mid-October.
