International trends have seen a surge in urban mobile food trucks and nature based tented camps.
Enter the age of Pop-Up Hotels. These low-impact accommodation offerings are attracting a good degree of traveler's attention.
One of the iconic examples has been Mexico's Papaya Playa developed by Design Hotels and a hotel owner.
With 85 cabanas the resort have a diverse offering of products from larger and more private casitas down to bunk bed units.
The experience remains more of an activity and communal adventure.
Design has taken the concept further afield with a small boutique property opened in Mykonos Greece.
