RECAP/Laguna Beach Resort – Win Deal Of The Year

Singapore's RECAP with their acquisition of the Laguna Beach Resort were named co-winners of this year's prestigious HICAP Single Asset of the Year.
A subsidiary of the fund (Real Estate Capital Asia Partners II) acquired the 254 room Phuket hotel for THB1.54 billion in May.
The other co-winner was the Crown Plaza Changi Airport Singapore.
New World's purchase of luxury chain Rosewood Hotels and Resorts was named Merger & Acquisition Deal of the Year.
Industry sources are speculating that the Hong Kong development group who are currently undergoing work on an upscale property on the Patong headland at Emerald Bay will be branding to the Rosewood name given the common ownership platform.
