Life on the island has changed over the mere decade has past but the chilling events of the past should not try to be erased.
Many of us who were here that fateful day have our own personal memories and know people who died.
Life goes go on and the recovery of Phuket, Khao Lak and other areas affected has been remarkable.
Still, history serves as a reminder of things good and also bad, and allows perspective of how important each and every day remains for those of us here on the island and beyond.
