Second New Build Sheraton for Phuket

Starwood has inked a deal for a second Sheraton property on the island.

Located on the East Coast, near to Ao Po Grand Marina the hotel will have 200 keys.

The property will be named the Sheraton Phuket Grand Bay Resort and is planned to open in early 2019.

Thai-based development firm APEX are behind the project.

A second Sheraton is rising in Kalim and is forecast to debut in 2018.

The opening of the two new branded Sheratons will see the return of the flag to Phuket after an extended absence.

What is now Angsana Laguna Phuket had for many years been managed by the group.

Recently global chain Starwood was acquired by the Marriott group and the two entities has a large pipeline of new properties in this market.
